Buying a house to renovate in Moraira, Benissa Costa or Jávea

Why an older house in the right place can be the best buy on the coast, and what the work really involves.

Many villas on the Costa Blanca North were built decades ago on plots and in positions that would be hard to find today: the front line in Benissa Costa, the hills above Moraira, the slopes of the Montgó in Jávea. The houses have dated, the positions have not. A renovation property is the way into those positions at a price that reflects the work still to do.

The return comes from doing that work well. Remodelling an existing property to increase its value is one of the investment services we offer, and it runs the same way as a new build: a feasibility check before you commit, contracts negotiated so every extra is written in, a designer included in our fees to refine the plans, and one point of contact managing the budget and the timeline until the house is finished.

Works that change the structure or the layout need a licence from the town hall, and each one publishes its own procedures: Teulada-Moraira, Benissa and Xàbia. We plan the permits into the timeline from the first estimate.

The houses below are the ones on the market now with the potential to transform and add value. We check each one for you, and estimate the work before you decide.
